The hotel has 20 bedrooms, two wedding and conferencing suites, a restaurant with seating for approximately 80 covers and a bar formerly known as The Bow Street Runner.

There is also a former nightclub which was granted planning consent in 2022 for change of use into two apartments.

Toby O'Sullivan is a director in Watling Real Estate's Birmingham team.

He said: "The Castle Hotel was a well-known and popular wedding and events venue and we are pleased to have achieved a sale in what is a difficult market for hospitality.

"We are especially pleased The Castle Hotel will continue to trade as a hotel, bringing new jobs and visitors to Tamworth."

Law firms Browne Jacobson and Ahmad & Williams Solicitors also acted on the deal.
