An historic and award-winning Devon hotel has been sold after going on the market for £2.1m.

specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has arranged the sale of Mill End Hotel, situated in Dartmoor National Park close to the town of Chagford, which was constructed in the late 18th Century and originally used as a mill.

The recently renovated property is set within its own landscaped grounds, tucked away on the banks of the River Teign, and comprises 21 en suite bedrooms arranged over three floors, as well as a restaurant, lounge and snug.

Under the ownership of Nick and Tara Culverhouse, who acquired the hotel freehold through Christie & Co in 2015, when it had a guide price of £1.5m, the hotel has won a number of accolades, including 2 AA Rosettes for the restaurant and the South West England Prestige Awards’ Boutique Hotel of the Year for Devon for two years running since 2020.

And it has even just been named Our Customer’s Favourite by dog-friendly holiday company PetsPyjamas in its Dog-Friendly Travel Awards,

Having already sold their other hotel, The Fox & Hounds Hotel, in Eggesford, from an asking price of £1.5m, via Christie & Co earlier in 2021, Mr and Mrs Culverhouse decided to put Mill End Hotel on the market so they could begin a new business challenge.
