Plans to build a £20 million industrial and logistics unit at a West Midlands business park have been given the green light.

The development at Tournament Fields Business Park, Warwick, is expected to generate further investment in the region and create dozens of new jobs.

Stourbridge-based developer Barberry acquired the last remaining plot at the park earlier this year and has now secured reserved matters planning permission from Warwick District Council for a 92,246 sq ft grade A distribution and logistics unit on the site.

A main contractor is due to be appointed imminently with the aim of starting work on site early next year.

Development director Jonathan Robinson said: "We are thrilled to be in the position to progress our exciting business plan, having secured planning consent for our prime mid-box industrial and logistics building at Tournament Fields.

"In doing so, we continue to demonstrate not only our commitment to the mid-box industrial logistics market but also our capability in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ market.

"This is one of our recently acquired sites and we continue to seek new opportunities in line with our plans to keep growing our business in this sector.
