GRAHAM, one of Northern Ireland’s biggest construction companies, has recorded a sharp increase in both profits and turnover after overcoming a challenging marketplace and winning new contracts across the 海角视频 and Ireland.
It saw pretax profits climb by 54% to £19 million with all parts of the business - civil engineering, interior fit-out, facilities management and investment projects – proving profitable. Turnover, meanwhile, jumped by 18% to nearly £142 million.
The company put the performance down to its ability to win new work during the last year and pointed to a positive outlook with a record pipeline of projects worth some £1.9 billion. However, it said the gains had been hard won in a construction market facing a number of significant challenges, “not least the reorientation of market conditions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic and rising inflationary pressures”.
