Goold Estates get stamp of approval

Property investor completes first sale after buying industrial complex in December

Stamp Factory, Walsall

Goold Estates has sold the first part of its Stamp Factory industrial scheme in .

Food supplement supplier Synergy Biologics has acquired the 24,817 sq ft, two-storey, two-bay warehouse in Midland Road for an undisclosed fee.

In December, Walsall-based Goold Estates bought the entire Stamp Factory site which covers 64,647 sq ft.

Managing director Dominic Goold said: "Having purchased the complex, we have obtained planning permission for a service yard which has made the unit significantly more useable.

"We are now out to tender on this scheme and will be refurbishing the inside of the reconfigured building for Synergy so that it meets their exact requirements. These works will be completed before the end of the year.

"We have worked with Synergy Biologics since they first set up in July 2011, leasing them a unit on our estate at Fairground Way nearby.

"We then let them our own unit on Fairground Way entailing our relocation to the centre of Walsall, when they needed to expand on the estate. So we were delighted to assist them once again."

Last month, Goold Estates completed , home to the town's Silverbales ice rink.
