A rubber hose manufacturer has relocated to a new manufacturing hub in Warwickshire.

Goodflex Rubber has moved out of its former Worcestershire base and into a new 32,000 sq ft facility in Alcester, creating four new jobs in the process.

The 38-strong business - which manufactures and supplies rubber hoses, mouldings and assemblies - has invested more than £500,000 in the move which follows a 70 per cent increase in revenue over the last three years.

It has used grants from the Coventry and Warwickshire Business Support Programme and the Coventry and Warwickshire Green Business Programme to refurbish its new base.

This includes the installation of a clean room in the factory, a new CCTV system, a hose stripping area and a new CNC cutting machine - which will help increase capacity by 200 per cent - as well as LED lighting and destratification fans.

Mark Dufty, managing director at Goodflex Rubber, said: "We analysed a number of locations ahead of the planned move before deciding that Alcester was the best location in terms of size, transport links and connections to a strong, regional manufacturing industry.

"The support provided by the Growth Hub and Coventry City Council was essential to planning and executing the relocation, which will be crucial to achieving our growth targets within the next three years."
