A pest control business has rebranded a North Somerset company it acquired two years ago as part of its strategy to expand in the South West region.

Surrey-based Cleankill Pest Control bought up Good Riddance, which provides services to businesses around Bath, Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare, in 2018 following the retirement of Good Riddance founder Howard Taffs.

Mr Taffs headhunted Cleankill to look after his business and customers, saying at the time of his retirement that its reputation for continuous staff development made them “the obvious choice.”

Cleankill is the first English pest control firm to be awarded a gold Investors in People accreditation, the national standard of good practice for training and development for employers.

The firm has offices in East Sussex and Buckinghamshire as well as operating out of the Good Riddance premises in Clevedon, North Somerset.

Cleankill said it had taken on Good Riddance to exploit a gap in the market in and around Bristol for commercial pest control services aimed at facilities managers.

It’s managing director Paul Bates said that “the time is right” to rebrand Good Riddance.
