A global logistics company has taken a huge new speculative build in South Yorkshire, with 200 jobs in the offing.

The 411,470 sq ft Gateway Four super shed from Trebor Developments and Hillwood has now been let.

The deal includes a major fit out for the as yet unidentified occupier.

Bob Tattrie, managing partner for Trebor, said: “This deal is an excellent result for our prestigious building in Doncaster and we look forward to working with the occupier on their fit out in order that they can get operational soon. We had keen interest in the building since completion in December and it is fair to say we could have let the building to several parties, such is the strength of market demand for quality industrial accommodation, which Trebor deliver throughout the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.”

The site, at Junction Four of the M18, was purchased from Lazarus Properties in 2019, with planning consent obtained and the build starting early last year.

Described as highly specified for a distribution facility, it features 38 loading doors and extensive lorry parking facilities for up to 83 HGVs.

A junction east of Amazon's huge facility, it shares immediate motorway access with Ikea and Next on the stretch that provides links to the A1, M1 and M62, with the ports of Grimsby, Goole, Immingham and Hull all within an hour's drive

Trebor is based in Birmingham and entered into a joint venture partnership with Hillwood, a US developer and investor, in early 2018. A wide range of industrial and logistics builds were promised, with £400 million of investment heading over the Atlantic.
