In pictures: Listed City Arcade building offices look very different on the inside
Offices next to the Grade II* listed City Arcade on Union Street have just been sold and now the block could possibly become an exciting mixed-used site depending on the new owner's plans
Forty years after City Arcade was Grade II* listed in July 1982, its offices have just been sold. The pictures below show that they were as distinctive on the inside as the exterior of the late Victorian building, which dates back to 1898-1901.
But the building had become so run-down after Santander moved out in July 2019, the external masonry was even becoming home to trees growing above the first floor on two sides of the building.
