The previous proposals for a 36-storey tower included 485 co-living apartments as well as a 171-bed hotel

Fresh plans have been submitted to construct a 41-storey tower in Salford.

Manchester-based Progressive Living Developments (PLD) is behind the new proposals for its site in Gorton Street.

If approved, the tower will include 568 studio apartments as well as residents lounges, a cinema room, games room and makers space, communal cooking and dining areas, a gym and wellness centre, co-working spaces and meeting rooms over four floors.

The plans come after the developer submitted plans for a 36-storey tower on the same site in April 2021.

The previous proposals included 485 co-living apartments as well as a 171-bed hotel.

If the new plans are approved, a landscaped roof terrace and a sky bar will also be created but a hotel does not feature in the revised scheme.

PLD has said it hopes to start on site in spring 2024 if the go-ahead is granted.
