Four-star Hotel Brooklyn in Manchester city centre sold for more than £24m

The four-star Hotel Brooklyn in Manchester city centre has been sold for £24.1m.

The 189-room hotel has been snapped up from Roundapple Hotel Partners by CDL HREIT Investments (II) Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDL Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust (H-REIT).

It opened its doors for the first time in February 2020 and includes two food and beverage outlets, three meeting rooms as well as a casino with a restaurant and bar.

The move comes after the hotel was sold to a private party in May 2021.

It was sold in an off-market deal by Marshall CDP, represented by Cushman & Wakefield’s Hospitality team.

The hotel was named in the top 20 'hottest new hotels' in the world for 2021 at the Traveller's Choice Best of the Best awards.

A statement said: "The Property appeals to both corporate and leisure guests being within walking distance to the central business district (Spinningfields), as well as popular tourist attractions such as the Manchester Art Gallery, retail areas such as Market Street and entertainment hubs such as the Manchester Arena.
