A popular former pub and restaurant in Cheshire and an ex-Revolution bar in Manchester are to go up for auction next month.
The Hooton Hotel building near Ellesmere Port and the iconic old bar site on Wilmslow Road in Fallowfield are among 85 lots going under the hammer in Pugh's next property auctions, due to be held online in September.
The well-known Hooton Hotel, which closed in 2018, has been given a guide price of £325,000 to £350,000 by the auction house.
With parking for 50 vehicles, the 4,200 sq ft former pub is situated on a 1.25 acre site close to Hooton railway station and a mile from junction 5 of the M53 motorway.
Pugh managing director Paul Thompson said: “Properties such as the Hooton Hotel offer great potential either for strategic redevelopment schemes and it would be tremendous to see the venue become an asset to the community once again.
“The site is in an excellent location, with superb road and rail links on the doorstep, as well as being just 10 miles from Chester.”
Also up for auction on September 9 is the former Revolution bar in Fallowfield, which could be partially converted to residential accommodation.
The venue, which closed in February this year, has a guide price of £750,000 plus.

The 7,900 sq ft building sits in the heart of Manchester's Fallowfield student community.
Pugh auctioneer and associate director Edward Feather said: “As the home of the Revolution Bar for years, the building is very well know and it’s in a great location, at the heart of the city’s student area.
“Manchester City Council have indicated that they would be generally supportive of a residential scheme at pre-planning stage and the upper floors could be ideal for a residential conversion scheme.
"It would be great to see this fantastic building take on a new lease of life as a real asset to this busy area of south Manchester once again.”
Pugh has continued to hold property auctions since the government introduced social distancing regulations in March, switching its operations to its existing online auction platform. Since then, the auction house has sold more than 120 lots and reported sales of over £11m.
