Former Liverpool HQ of Bibby Line Group to return to the market under a new name

An application has also been submitted for the entire 57,000sq ft site to be listed

91-105 Duke Street, Liverpool

The huge former Liverpool HQ of Bibby Line Group is to return to the market under a new name, with an application also submitted for it to become a listed building.

Manchester-based CERT Property has submitted the application for 91-105 Duke Street, which will be launched to the market under the new name Duke & Parr.

The 57,000sq ft site consists of four separate buildings - one of which was Liverpool's first public library in the 19th Century.

Bibby Line Group sold the building to CERT ahead of its move to Exchange Flags at the end of last year, after being based at the building for a quarter of a century.

CERT says it wants to refurbish the collection of properties, with the proposals "seeking to embrace the history and character of the building" - with its historic fabric to be exposed.

Plans also aim to establish a creative environment that supports and connects local communities and businesses within the IT, creative and technology sectors.

Interior designer Sheila Bird Group has been appointed to develop the brand and interior concept and Elevate Architects will be working alongside them to deliver the scheme.

Workspace Design & Build has been appointed main contractor and are on-site carrying out an initial strip out package of works.
