North Lincolnshire landscaping products supplier Talasey Group has taken on the former headquarters of collapsed Clugston Construction.

The £58 million turnover company has moved into St Vincent House in Scunthorpe, having outgrown its former site at Sandtoft, where it launched in 2004.

It aims to make the sprawling site a centre of excellence for the sector, with the large mature gardens seen as ideal to showcase the portfolio of paving, decking and artificial lawn products.

Mark Wall, founder and chief executive, said that it was the perfect location to enable the company to realise ambitions and hit the next level of growth, “offering amazing facilities that are designed to make a visit a memorable experience”.

Reflecting on fond memories of starting the business as Natural Paving Products (º£½ÇÊÓƵ) Ltd in Sandtoft, where the distribution centre remains, he said: “The business has grown significantly, and we needed a site that could not only accommodate the next stage of our development but also be somewhere where we could realise wider ambitions – both for our business and for making a positive contribution to our industry.

“As part of our move to the new site, we had a vision that St Vincent House would be an amazing space that all of our customers can use for business meetings, training and development - or even to send their customers to us to look around the display areas. I’m very proud that everyone at the Talasey Group feels that we have achieved that.”

The four acre site has been significantly overhauled since it was bought by the company, with the majority of the 105-strong team to be based there.
