US fast food chain Five Guys is planning to open a second restaurant in Bristol after securing a 10-year lease on a site in Clifton.

The burger and hotdog group will take over the former Bill's eatery on Queen's Road.

The company, which already has a branch in Cabot Circus, has secured a 10-year lease on the property at a yearly rent of £70,000.

The space includes a ground-floor restaurant of around 3,090 sq ft, which is near cocktail lounge Be At One and the University of Bristol.

M&P Property Consultants advised the private landlord and Savills represented Five Guys.

Rob Palmer, associate director in the retail team at Savills Bristol, said: “It was important to secure a second site in Bristol that complemented Five Guys first site in the centre.

"The former Bill’s site was the perfect prime location on the west side of Bristol city centre which is on a busy street close to tourist locations and Bristol University.

"Additionally, with the growth in the popularity of food delivery apps, especially over the lockdown periods, this main road frontage will further enable quick, easy and efficient access to the restaurant for deliveries.”
