The first company to take space at a brand new multi-million pound business park in Derby has been revealed.

Car repair and servicing business Sunset VW has become the first to secure a deal for one of five units at Crown Park.

A further unit is also currently under offer with a major trade retailer, according to agents.

The company behind Crown Park is Derbyshire developer Clowes Developments, which is based at Ednaston, near Ashbourne.

It has built five terraced units, which range in size from just over 2,500 sq ft to 7,700 sq ft. It has also constructed a separate, standalone unit, measuring just over 4,400 sq ft, which has its own secure yard.

The design and layout of the new buildings was influenced by previous successful developments within the Clowes portfolio.

Amenities include car parking provisions in line with national parking standards (with 46 spaces across the new build estate), circulation areas allowing large delivery vehicles to manoeuvre easily, an entrance barrier for security out of hours, cycle storage and an EV charging station at every unit.

Hannah Bailey, development surveyor at Clowes, said: “Understanding the local market conditions and demands, as well as thinking through our options meant we were able to bring forward a project that neatly fitted together with our existing offer and gave us greater flexibility and appeal on this site.
