º£½ÇÊÓƵ engineering consultancy Fairhurst has agreed to let out space in a landmark Bristol city centre office building. The company is currently based in Clifton Heights, where it has been for three decades, but will move staff into The Cube on 1 Lower Lamb Street.

The property underwent an extensive refurbishment last year and Fairhurst is the first business tenant since the works were completed. The company will take over the whole first floor - 2,560 sq ft of space.

Landlord Salaft Properties acquired The Cube in 2017 and subsequently transformed the office building, which is located opposite the harbourside.

David Townsend, partner at Fairhurst, said: “The move to our new premises was carefully considered and reflects the firmwide strategy to improve the offering to both our current teams, and also prospective employees. The Cube was selected after examining a number of city centre properties.

"It’s location in relation to local transport hubs, other amenities and the flexible office space it has offered us, were all key in making it our final choice. We are looking forward to a long and healthy presence in the building."

The Cube, which now has 10,819 sq ft available over the second, third and fourth floors, has newly refurbished category A office space, a remodelled double-height reception and new facilities.

Russell Baum at Salaft said: “The Cube is a landmark building in a popular location and following complete refurbishment we are exceptionally pleased to be the new home for Fairhurst, whose commitment ties so closely with ours as long-term investors in good quality buildings. We look forward to developing more relationships and working closely with our future partners to keep delivering a great experience that encourages people back to the office."

Global property advisor Knight Frank and commercial real estate firm CBRE were the joint agents for the deal.
