Writing in accounts filed at Companies House, managing director Mike Hunter said directors were satisfied with the group's results given the economic environment, and said they were "very confident" that activity levels will continue.

During the year Everlast's roofing business generated turnover of £37.1m, up from £29.1m, and its scaffolding business generated turnover of £1.7m, up from £1.2m.

Addressing the impact of the pandemic in the accounts, Mr Hunter said its sector was hit by supply chain disruption and pressures.

He said: "The business has continued to operate throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Action was taken within the group to manage resources where there was some minor disruption, and support activities already geared to work remotely did so to meet Government guidelines and recommendations.
