A historic European windows and doors manufacturer has opened a new showroom and office in Exeter. NorDan º£½ÇÊÓƵ said its new Devon base would be a "key hub" for the company's trade operations in the South West.

The Exeter showroom is aiming to support projects such as private new builds, large-scale retrofits, social housing developments and self-build markets.

Craig Greenwood, managing director of NorDan º£½ÇÊÓƵ, said: “The demand for sustainable, high-performance fenestration solutions is growing rapidly, and this investment reinforces our dedication to supporting the º£½ÇÊÓƵ construction sector.

“The opening of our Exeter showroom strengthens our ability to support the trade with long-lasting products that meet the latest regulatory and environmental standards."

NorDan º£½ÇÊÓƵ said the West of England had experienced "growing demand" for energy-efficient windows and doors with much lower embodied carbon than PVC alternatives, especially in new housing developments, retrofits and commercial construction projects.

“Our solutions are engineered to withstand even the toughest Scandinavian climates, making them particularly well-suited for exposed locations and projects prioritising energy efficiency, sustainability, and longevity in the South West," added Mr Greenwood.

Founded in Norway almost 100 years ago, the company now has 12 factories across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and more than 2,200 employees, with project management offices in Exeter, Gloucester, Birmingham, Livingston, Aberdeen and Inverness, and Cardiff.

The new Exeter showroom is based at Cranmere Court on Lustleigh Close and is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm.
