An engineering practice which has worked on hotels, student accommodation and food retail developments has relocated to a historic area of Nottingham as part of its growth strategy.

Tunstall Smith King Consulting Engineers (TSK), which provides solutions for structural and engineering design, has moved into 29 Stoney Street, in the city's area, part of the Creative Quarter.

Previously based in , near Nottingham, the new location is on the ground floor of the former lace mill and bosses hope the decision will help it unlock new opportunities in the city centre.

Company director, Stephen King, said: “Myself and the team are excited to be in our new office which looks fantastic but also meet the needs of a growing firm.

"It has always been our intention to be based in Nottingham city centre as part of our growth plans and we’ve have had our sights set on the creative quarter as the area perfectly suits the business.

“The central location enables us to be closer to a number of our clients and projects and will help to attract further talent to the business. We are a proactive team providing innovative engineering design solutions and we are also sociable and see the benefit of networking events, of which there is an abundance in the city centre.

“As directors, we have a combined experience of more than 60 years, and a strong presence in the residential, commercial, industrial and education sectors. As a team we are growing organically, and the new office can accommodate up to 20 employees which is where we aim to be in the next few years as we continue to employ talented professionals.

“The new office gives us the additional space that we need to work, and we also encourage our team to take a break where possible. The office pool table certainly helps with this, as well as encouraging a bit of healthy competition.”
