Eco-tech base emerging as industrial park starts to take shape

Completion of the steel framework construction for eco-tech specialist Myenergi’s new multi-million pound headquarters has been heralded as a key milestone in the opening up of industrial development land in North East Lincolnshire.

The burgeoning micro generation and electric vehicle charging developer will be the anchor tenant on an ‘oven-ready’ business park at Stallingborough.

It is the first business-facing element of the £42 million South Humber Industrial Investment Programme, which takes in a large swathe of land between the port towns of Grimsby and Immingham.

Company co-founders Lee Sutton and Jordan Brompton have visited the site to see the emerging structure of their new base.

The duo behind the Zappi charger and other devices for domestic and commercial use were joined by representatives from landlord North East Lincolnshire Council, the authority’s regeneration partner Engie and build contractor Houlton.

Work is well on schedule with a build completion eyed up for early 2021.

The 15,500 sq ft unit incorporates office space with product development, manufacturing, and research areas. There is also an option to construct a large warehouse on the adjoining site as part of the firm’s phase two development plans.

“We just cannot wait to move in now. We are growing quickly in an emerging market and just thrilled this move enables us to remain in the region, employing and giving opportunity to local people – we would never want to turn our back on our local community,” enthused Jordan.
