Property developer and student accommodation specialist Downing says it is set for its busiest year to date in 2025 as it has a pipeline of 10 projects worth £1.6bn.
Downing says that in the first quarter of 2024, it has acquired sites in Bristol, Glasgow, Newcastle, Brighton and London that all expect to start on site in 2025. Other projects include developments in Leeds, Manchester and Wandsworth.
The company recently moved its Liverpool head office into the newly-refurbished No.1 Old Hall Street - and is now planning a recruitment drive to grow its 200-strong team across its investment, construction and development teams.
Downing estimates it has delivered more than £2bn in property, including 14,500 purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) beds, across the Ƶ in its 35-year history.
