Industrial developer and asset manager Chancerygate has opened its first office in Bristol as part of plans for growth in the South West and Wales.

BusinessLive previously reported that the London headquartered firm was planning to establish a regional base in the city, and it has now settled in premises on Whiteladies Road.

The office will be headed up by newly appointed development director Rupert Joseland, who was previously managing director of St Modwen Industrial and Logistics.

Chancerygate intends to grow the Bristol office as it builds its development pipeline throughout the South West and South Wales. On that basis, the company anticipates a second employee starting in January.

Mr Joseland said: ““It is great to have the opportunity to lead Chancerygate’s continued expansion throughout the South West and into South Wales.

“We are already in discussions regarding a number of development and asset management deals and are seeking new opportunities ranging from Tewkesbury down to Plymouth and from Swansea across to Swindon.

“We have the funds available to act decisively to quickly secure opportunities to speculatively develop our Grade A urban logistics and industrial accommodation.

“In addition, we fully intend to grow the Bristol office and will be looking to recruit ambitious, high performing property professionals for both development and project management roles in due course.”
