Whether it is building a home, a warehouse or a business - it will not last unless it is built on solid foundations.
That is the maxim that is constantly applied at Derbyshire-based CWC Group.
And it is a major reason why 55 years after its inception, it is now one of the largest privately-owned property investment and development firms in the 海角视频.

Today, the firm’s portfolio of assets - covering commercial, residential, leisure, industrial and mixed use - is huge.
It holds more than 3,000 acres of land and 15,000 residential plots in 130 development sites across the country, as well as more than 50 office and business parks and a number of larger mixed use sites.
And through its development company, Clowes Developments, it is continuing to deliver some key buildings in this region and beyond that will generate thousands of jobs.
There are many major buildings and development sites across Derby and Derbyshire, which the CWC Group has a hand in.
And despite the uncertainty caused by Brexit, the company has been flourishing in recent years, achieving record profit and turnover.

Over the last 12 months alone there have been a number of key moments for the CWC Group.
One particular site that has been a flurry of activity over the past year is the Castlewood Business Park, near Junction 28 of the M1 at South Normanton.
Last autumn, CWC Group confirmed the start of construction of the 10th building at Castlewood - a 249,500 sq ft distribution centre.
The firm has also started work on a speculative 72,000 sq ft Grade A warehouse at the site, known as CW72.
And CWC Group has also announced further plans for a new 207,000 sq ft unit at the site called CW207.
The firm is also busy at another of its sites close to the M1 - the East Midlands Distribution Centre (EMDC) business park, at Castle Donington.
EMDC is already home to some major companies, including Marks & Spencer, Birlea Furniture and Moran Logistics. However, they will soon be joined by more companies.

CWC Group is currently delivering a brand new regional headquarters at the site for Redrow Homes East Midlands.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Redrow’s regional team would be relocating from their existing base at Derby’s Pride Park to purpose-built offices at the Castle Donington business park, which is near to Junction 24 of the M1.
Redrow Homes East Midlands was created when the house-building giant bought local developer Radleigh Homes.
As well as taking on Radleigh’s developments, Redrow also moved into the company’s Pride Park offices.
Redrow has several developments in and around Derby - but it wanted a new office that could serve projects across the whole of the East Midlands region, not just Derbyshire.
As well as the arrival of Redrow, there has been further good news this year for the East Midlands Distribution Centre.
Earlier this year, CWC Group announced it had concluded a multi-million pound deal for a 515,000 sq ft speculative regional distribution centre at the site.
The new building, next to Marks & Spencer’s one million sq ft warehouse, will bring an estimated 1,000 new jobs.
The property, which will be roughly the size of six football pitches, is being built speculatively. This means work has begun on the building without a tenant already signed up to take the space.
However, CWC Group’s activities are not restricted to Derby and Derbyshire - far from it. The company has assets and major projects all over the country.
In the East Midlands, one of its biggest is its Fairham site, south of Nottingham. The £800 million development will deliver up to 3,000 new homes and a million sq ft of commercial space, creating 2,500 new jobs.
While CWC Group specialises in delivering the right building for its clients - in the past year the company itself was the subject of a very important move - to new headquarters.
For many years, the group had been based at Brailsford Hall. However, the business took the decision to move to Ednaston, following a multi-million pound investment in the former St Mary’s Nursing Home.
Today, CWC occupies 5,500 sq ft of space in the refurbished Ednaston Park building. The remaining 12,500 sq ft has been turned into class-leading serviced office space, which has since attracted several new tenants.
So, what about the future? An indication of CWC Group’s trajectory going forward can be seen in its financial results for 2018, which it released earlier this year. They showed both record turnover and profit.
In fact, turnover and profitability at the company has more than doubled in the last five years.

And there is every reason to suggest that this growth will continue going forward, as the group has a healthy pipeline of sites and projects that will span the next 10 to 15 years.
