Derbyshire construction company Enrok working on Brixton luxury apartment scheme

Project involves converting a four-story building in Shakespeare Road and adding a fifth floor

Enrok Construction is working Node on a 63 apartment scheme in Brixton

A Derbyshire construction company has won a £4.6 million contract to work on a luxury apartment scheme in South London.

Enrok Construction is working with apartment developer Node to deliver the 63 one-and-two-bed luxury apartments in Brixton.

The construction specialist has been involved in the project since March 2022 and is now able to announce the formal contract. The firm has already completed roof works, installed windows and started with cladding and internal fit out.

The project involves converting a four-story building in Shakespeare Road and adding a fifth floor with six additional apartments.

The penthouses will boast views across the capital with a number of iconic buildings in sight, including The Shard, The City, Canary Wharf, Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster.

Enrok operations manager Simon Bennett MCIOB said: “We have been working closely with the team at Node for four months now, and it’s great to be able to shout about what will become our flagship project.

“Building outwards is not always feasible in high-density areas, so developing upwards is an effective solution – and something that is becoming increasingly popular across London and other densely populated cities where space is at a premium.

“Working in London does come with its own challenges, but our project planning and existing presence in London has enabled us to hit the ground running on the scheme and we are looking forward to delivering it successfully.
