A multi-million pound riverside development in Derby is now fully let - five years after it was bought out of administration.

Moorfield, a º£½ÇÊÓƵ real estate private equity fund manager, took over the ownership of Derby Riverlights, which overlooks the River Derwent, back in 2015.

Since then, it has been investing in the building and reinventing it as a leisure destination, attracting new tenants.

Now, the final unit has been let to children’s activity centre operator Injoy, meaning the building is now fully occupied.

Injoy has signed a 15-year lease on two floors of the building, totalling 20,000 sq ft, in which it has created a £1.7 million family adventure play centre.

It joins existing leisure occupiers at Derby Riverlights, which include Genting Casino, Holiday Inn, Premier Inn, Thyme Restaurant and Gym City.

Riverlights is Injoy’s second º£½ÇÊÓƵ centre, hosting a range of fun activities for all the family under one roof, including climbing walls, soft play and one of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s first ‘Interactive Zones’, where families can test their skills at art workshops and cookery classes.

Richard Chandler, manager of Injoy, said: “We have taken the original concept for a soft play centre and taken it to another level with a genuine emphasis on quality, creating an environment the whole family can enjoy together.”
