A Derby haulage firm has secured a deal to let a warehouse own by food giant Two Sisters.

Viking Transport has signed a three-year lease on the Cotton Brook Road property, which became available after being deemed surplus to requirements by Two Sisters Food Group, which has a large food production plant nearby.

Located on the Sir Francis Ley Industrial Park, the building has a floor space of just over 13,000 sq ft.

Founded in 2004, Viking Transport currently operates from a unit in Chartwell Drive, on the West Meadows Industrial Estate.

According to commercial agents Harris Lamb, which marketed the property on behalf of Two Sisters, the warehouse attracted a “good level” of occupier interest.

Andy Groves, who oversaw the deal, said: “This property was particularly well-suited to a logistics specialist due to its location and large secure yard.

“The business park is located close to the M1 and is accessed via one of the city centre’s main arterial routes.
