Deichmann's new º£½ÇÊÓƵ distribution site in Corby

Deichmann is taking a lease on a 163,500 sq ft purpose-built warehouse, with offices, in Northamptonshire.

The shoe chain, which is Europe’s biggest footwear retailer, has taken the unit at the Centrix Business Park, in Corby – a few miles to the east of its º£½ÇÊÓƵ headquarters in Market Harborough.

It has struck the deal with its new º£½ÇÊÓƵ distribution facility the site owners and developers, Clowes Developments.

Deichmann director Chris Holden said: “We are continuing to expand our presence in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ both online and opening new high street stores.

“This development will enhance that expansion and enable us to improve service levels across the business.

“We believe Corby is a great location for our º£½ÇÊÓƵ warehouse, being close to the centre of our store network and providing a skilled workforce for logistics operations.”

The 39 acre business park forms part of Corby’s new regeneration framework and offers “built to suit” industrial and warehouse opportunities.

The commercial lease agreement marks significant inward investment for the area.
