The new owners of a Nottinghamshire wedding, dining and bar venue have revealed plans for a new craft brewery

The new owners of The Lakeside Nottingham, in Mansfield Road, have taken an additional 5,122 sq ft unit for the production of craft beers.

The Lakeside is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and is due to open later this year.

The idea is that the new brewery building will supply the venue with its own craft ales.

Richard Berridge, co-owner of The Lakeside, said: “These new premises for our brewing operation complements our business model perfectly.

“We want to offer the community real local food, beer and a safe and enjoyable place to visit.

“The Lakeside will open at Christmas and will offer its very own range of beers made locally by locals.

“It’s a very exciting time for us now that we have emerged from lockdown and look forward to seeing our guests very soon.”
