A shopping centre and former bank are among several properties that have been acquired by a local council as part of a project to revamp a town centre.
Cannock Chase Council has bought the portfolio as part of the £20 million government funding it received to transform the Staffordshire town's core retail area.
The properties purchased, which will form part of phase two of the town centre redevelopment, include the Forum Shopping Centre and retail properties along Market Hall Street and Church Street including a former Barclays branch and Boots.

Council leader Cllr Councillor Tony Johnson said: "The council is committed to creating a significant development footprint that will attract future investment into the town centre.
"Acquiring these properties is a key step in turning that vision into reality."
In May, The council will join thousands of other delegates at annual property conference 海角视频REiiF in Leeds.
Cllr Johnson added: "Last year, we presented our ambitious plans for the town centre and this year we'll be in an even stronger position, with development-ready plots available for promotion."

Regeneration chief Cllr Maureen Freeman added: "The council has a vision which will encourage future investment in the town centre.
"We can already see that taking shape with the start of the demolition works and soon we will see the former multi-storey car park and indoor market hall coming down."
Planning permission for the Northern Gateway café, new ramps and steps, new toucan crossing and infill of the subway was approved in January and it is anticipated that works will commence later this year.
