Cordia Blackswan secures new premises for head office move

Birmingham developer will relocate from base in the Jewellery Quarter following renovation project

Cordia Blackswan has acquired 22a Great Hampton Street in Birmingham for its new office

A Birmingham developer has acquired a former bank building for use as its new head office in the city.

Cordia Blackswan has bought the Victorian complex at 22a Great Hampton Street which once housed a Lloyds Bank.

The company, which is currently based in the Argent Centre in the Jewellery Quarter, will now renovate the building where it will also create office and co-working spaces for other firms.

The complex covers around 15,000 sq ft and will have six office suites while the former banking hall will be transformed into a community working area.

It also features an underground vault from its time as a bank which Cordia Blackswan plans to incorporate into the renovation.

Cordia Blackswan is due to move into the premises this summer with the remaining office accommodation ready by the end of 2021.

Managing director Marcus Hawley said: "This move to such a prestigious building is a fantastic opportunity for us as a business.
