Plans for new student accommodation in Birmingham city centre which could reach 50 storeys are now open for consultation.
Solihull-based Sama Investments is leading the scheme at the site of former council offices at 1 Lancaster Circus.
Called Perryian Works, the project would comprise two new blocks of up to 40 and 50 storeys and public realm next to one of the main gateways into Birmingham city centre, close to Aston and Birmingham City universities.
There will also be amenities for residents and ground-floor commercial and leisure space and existing buildings on the site would be demolished.
Sama Investments bought 1 Lancaster Circus in 2022 and first revealed its proposals for the site a year ago.

The name Perryian Works is a nod to the location's previous home to Perry & Co, the manufacturer of pens, chains and bicycles.

It was said at the time that the decision was prompted by Birmingham City Council moving to more staff working from home, saving the authority around £1.4 million a year in costs to keep the site operational.
Staff in the council's architecture, engineering, building, finance, environmental and consumer services departments have been based there.
A consultation and feedback can be left until May 14.
