Construction work starts on new Prologis warehousing

More than 800,000 sq ft of new industrial space is being create at two sites in the West Midlands

Construction work on three new industrial units at Prologis Park Hams Hall

Construction work has started on four new industrial units which will bring more than 800,000 sq ft of commercial space to the West Midlands.

The work, which is being carried out speculatively, is being led by specialist warehousing property group Prologis on its parks in Hams Hall east of Birmingham and Ryton near Coventry.

At Prologis Park Hams Hall, three buildings are currently under construction of 259,510 sq ft, 131,780 sq ft and 85,685 sq ft respectively.

At Prologis Park Ryton, work is under way on a 330,770 sq ft and all four due to be completed in the summer.

The company, whose º£½ÇÊÓÆµ operation is headquartered in Solihull, has 22 logistics parks, seven of which are in the West Midlands with Jaguar Land Rover and DHL among their tenants.

Construction of these new units will be net zero, according to the company.
