Construction underway at landmark £23m INEOS site

North west-based BAM Construction has been appointed to the scheme having previously built the new headquarters for INEOS in Grangemouth

How the new INOVYN office will look

Construction of a four storey office is now well underway for chemical giant INEOS at its landmark site in Runcorn.

North west-based BAM Construction has been appointed to the scheme having previously built both the new headquarters for INEOS in Grangemouth, and an advanced manufacturing centre for Unilever in Port Sunlight, recently.

The £23m site - designed by Glasgow-based architects Michael Laird - will accommodate the group’s INOVYN ChlorVinyls housing 475 employees.

Ian Fleming, BAM’s regional director, said: “We’ve got an experienced team and a strong track record working for major clients like INOVYN, but this build is a challenging one so we will need to bring these qualities to bear.

“We know the people who come to work here will appreciate these attractive new office conditions which will really transform their old working environments.”

BAM recently notched up 150 years in business across the world, having built its first º£½ÇÊÓƵ project in 1874, and its first scheme in Liverpool in 1933 when it delivered the new parcels office in Hatton Garden.

Its sister company, BAM Nuttall built the Royal Liver Building in 1911.
