Clowes Developments starts work on Leicestershire business park

The site, close to the A6, will cover 11 acres

How Beauchamp Business Park, in Kibworth, will look

Clowes Developments has started work on a new business park in south Leicestershire.

The Derbyshire developer – which recently bought Derby County Football Club – has brought in contractor TanRo to begin works at Beauchamp Business Park, in Kibworth, between Market Harborough and Leicester. It comes after the site gained planning permission from Harborough District Council.

The earthworks are being done by JC Balls and Sons, and include the creation of new plateaus and landscaping, and infrastructure work.

The site, close to the A6, will cover 11 acres and have a range of industrial units ranging in size from 1,270 sq ft to 10,085 sq ft available on a freehold or leasehold basis.

TanRo director Robin Orgill said: “It’s great to get this development under way. There’s a hive of activity around the site as we team up with JC Balls and Sons to begin preparing the site for construction.

“Storm water drainage has been installed at the main entrance and footings are being laid, an attenuation pond has been dug out and the rest of the ground is being levelled off in readiness for the next phase of development.”

Agents Phillips Sutton and TDBRE are marketing the site.

Clowes is one of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s biggest privately-owned property investment and development companies. It was founded by Charles W Clowes in 1964, on what it says were the guiding principles of “honesty, integrity, passion and innovation”.
