Castell Coch is looking for a new operator to run its popular tea rooms

The 30-cover tea rooms are available on a new three year lease

Castell Coch attracts around 70,000 visitors each year

A new operator to run the tea rooms at Cardiff's Castell Coch is being sought.

Real estate adviser Avison Young is seeking an experienced operator for the 30-cover tea rooms at the popular visitor attraction.

Available on a new three year lease, the facility is situated on the ground floor of the castle inside the visitors’ area. The total area comprises 5,587 sq ft .

Aside from the 30-covers, there is potential to offer an outdoor catering facility as well as add a further service operation at the external entrance to the castle.

The recently refurbished cafe was formerly run by Cadw, the Welsh Government’s historic environment service which still manages the castle.

Castell Coch is situated on the edge of Cardiff and is visible from the M4 motorway.

Prior to the pandemic, the 19th century building attracted over 70,000 visitors each year along with hundreds of walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders who use the surrounding woodland walks and cycle paths.
