Aluminium fabricator, Dudley’s Aluminium, has secured a multi-million pound contract at an under construction 116,000 sq ft grade A office scheme in Bristol.
The Cardiff-based firm has won work worth £2.4m, with main contractor Willmott Dixon, for the Halo office scheme at the mixed-use Finzels Reach development from property development firm Cubex. The developer bought the former Avon Fire and Rescue site, which will be home to the Halo scheme, in 2018 on behalf of Fiera Real Estate Opportunity Fund IV (海角视频).
Legal firm Osborne Clarke will be the scheme’s anchor tenant having agreed a 12-year lease for the top four floors of the building, extending to 74,000 sq ft. The law firm will relocate its 600 staff in the city into its new HQ in late 2022.
The move will see the law firm joining the likes of Channel 4, Historic England and English Heritage, Simmons & Simmons, Barclays, EDF and Bafta-winning BDH at Finzels Reach.
The Halo office scheme is the latest project at Finzels Reach that the fabricator has been involved with, having previously worked with Willmott Dixon on the Aurora office complex.
Dudley’s Aluminium will install products throughout the build including windows, doors, capped and structural silicone sealed curtain walling, in addition to standard and curved automatic sliding doors, and pressed metal vertical and horizontal features.

The latest contract win comes as Dudley’s has strengthened its senior management team with five director-level appointments.
Neil Andrews and Simon Hoggett have been appointed estimating director and sales director respectively, supporting new business development. Moreover, Neil Jones has been appointed contracts director, Gary Smythe technical director and Stephen Muir commercial director.
