Building services consultancy opens new Birmingham office

Kent-based Whitecode has expanded its footprint after winning a string of clients in the Midlands

Whitecode has taken space in The Colmore Building in Birmingham city centre

A building services consultancy has opened a new office in Birmingham city centre.

Whitecode, which is headquartered in Kent and also has a base in South Africa, has taken space in The Colmore Building in the business district.

The company offers services such as building analysis, mechanical and lighting design and utilities and sustainability consulting.

It said it had started securing new contract wins in the Midlands which had prompted it to open the new Birmingham office.

The business will use the base to employ and train more engineers and also recruit people onto its apprenticeship programme which it runs in partnership with Coventry University.

Managing director Alex Hill said: "We are absolutely delighted to have opened our new office in Birmingham. As the levelling up agenda gathers pace, our work enquiries continue to push north of our southern headquarters.

"It's so important that we have a hub in the centre of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ to enable us to offer our same market-leading services throughout more of Great Britain.
