Brewhouse & Kitchen buys Sutton Coldfield restaurant

Cambaz Bar and Grill site bought after going on sale for £1.75m deal with 11th pub in Brewhouse stable set to open in north Birmingham town later this year

Cambaz restaurant in Sutton Coldfield has been bought by Brewhouse & Kitchen

The Cambaz Bar and Grill in Sutton Coldfield has been bought by pub group Brewhouse & Kitchen after going on sale for £1.75 million.

The deal to buy the Mediterranean restaurant in Birmingham Road means London-based Brewhouse & Kitchen now has 11 pubs in its stable.

Brewhouse & Kitchen specialises in craft beers and each of its pubs has a microbrewery and a brewer on site.

It also offers a brewery experience day and beer masterclass to give customers a chance to create their own drink.

The Sutton Coldfield site, which has space for 210 covers, is set to open later this year following refurbishment work.

The sale was co-ordinated by Charles Jones, a licensed specialist at Christie + Co.

He said: "We have a long-standing relationship with Brewhouse & Kitchen and a strong understanding of their requirements.

"Therefore, upon receiving this instruction we immediately knew that the site would be an ideal fit. We wish the team all the best on this exciting new venture and look forward to working closely with the group on their expansion programme."
