A Bristol-based online booking company is relocating its headquarters to Cardiff.

BookingLive, which is currently based on Whiteladies Road in the city, will open a new office at The Maltings office scheme in Cardiff next month and will be recruiting seven new members of staff.

The company says it will still be maintaining a presence in Bristol as it grows.

The news comes as the company lands £1.31m in new investment from Blackfinch Ventures and the Development Bank of Wales.

Blackfinch Ventures has invested an initial £406,000, while £250,000 comes from the Development Bank.

Second payments of £406,000 by Blackfinch and £250,000 from the Development Bank, bringing the total to £1.31million, will be made in early 2020.

The investment will be used to expand BookingLive’s team and marketing presence, for additional product development, and to fund further expansion in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and US markets.

Chief executive Vinnie Morgan, who founded the company in 2014, says the funding will also help BookingLive with its plans to more than double revenues during 2020.
