The team at East Midlands workplace consultants and office fit-out specialists Blueprint Interiors say they have won more than 拢1.5 million of new contracts from office owners looking for help and design in the post-Covid world.
The team, based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch in north west Leicestershire, is currently working on Y眉 Energy鈥檚 new offices in Leicester and the R&D division of a major pet food company.
They are also working with energy conversion systems provider Consultus Group, a plastics distributor, an orthotics manufacturer and carrying out several office fit-outs within 海角视频 science parks.
Chloe Sproston, Blueprint鈥檚 creative and commercial director, said key concerns fuelling the demand include businesses having to work out how much office space will actually be required as people find the balance between working from home and being in the office.
HR and office managers are finding themselves having to work out whether to downsize or re-purpose space, and how to create compelling reasons for employees to return to an environment which has been off-limits for so long.
She said: 鈥淭he overall objective is that offices are designed according to how people will want to use them in the future.
鈥淎s employers and HR teams begin preparing their workplace for the return of their most valued asset 鈥 their people 鈥 they will need to take notice of these needs, or risk losing their best talent to organisations that recognise their importance.鈥
Blueprint Interiors also recently became accredited to help companies achieve The WELL Health-Safety Rating, a new building health and safety accreditation which is informed by the WELL Building Standard and more than 600 experts from the Task Force on Covid-19.
The company鈥檚 own office in Ashby, called WorkLife Central, has achieved gold standard and interior designer Rebecca Beadle is helping other businesses attain the new accreditation.
She said: 鈥淢ost of the clients we are advising through the process of achieving the WELL Health-Safety Rating are doing so to ensure their offices have a recognised safety seal in time for the anticipated return of employees and visitors to their offices.
鈥淭he rating demonstrates that they have met the highest health and safety standards, and therefore employees and visitors should feel confident knowing the space they are entering is managed by an organisation that believes in putting health first.鈥
