Blaenau Gwent industrial estate fully let following new letting deals

The Rassau Industrial Estate has new tenants in GTS Flexible Materials and Artemas Joseph Holdings

Rassau Industrial Estate

The Rassau Industrial Estate in Blaenau Gwent is fully let on the back of surging demand for industrial space.

The latest tenant at the near 100,000 sq ft estate, owned by property and asset management firm, FI Real Estate Management (FIREM, is GTS Flexible Materials.

The global adhesive systems specialist and laminate and insulation manufacturer has entered into a 20 year lease.

The estate also recently welcomed scaffolding, decking and noise barrier manufacturer, Artemas Joseph Holdings, under a 10-year lease agreement.

FIREM has seen interest in the estate grow steadily since work commenced to convert the A465 Heads of the Valleys road, scheme which runs alongside the estate, into a dual carriageway. The £336m project began in 2014 and will see the five-mile stretch of road between Brynmawr and Gilwern.

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council also confirmed in June that a further £3m worth of improvements will be made to the road network across the local authority area.

The unprecedented demand for space has prompted FIREM to begin planning the design and build of a number of new industrial and warehouse units in South Wales.

A spokesperson for FI Real Estate Management said: “As occupancy starts to bounce back in other markets, interest in the industrial sector is only rising further following a solid performance throughout the pandemic.
