A property firm has acquired brownfield land in the Black Country with plans to create a new residential development there.
Birmingham-based Future High Street Living has bought 18.5 acres in Dudley where it hopes to win consent to build a mix of new apartments and houses of differing sizes.
Full details on the company's plans for the site have not yet been released but it could also contain some retail space.
The land, which was once home to a derelict industrial estate, is situated off Level Street directly opposite the Merry Hill shopping centre in Brierley Hill.
Future High Street Living was founded by Sam Ginda and focuses on bringing struggling high streets back to life by investing in developments.

Mr Ginda said: "We're excited to acquire this large brownfield site in such a crucial part of the town which has sat vacant for some years.
"There is a great opportunity to design a well-balanced housing scheme with a mix of traditional houses ranging from two to four bedrooms alongside one- and two-bedroom apartments.
"We are very committed to the delivery of this scheme and creating a residential community, providing much-needed housing while also contributing to the economic and social rejuvenation of the area."
Property agency Furlong Land & Development acted on behalf of the seller Sovereign Centros.
Director Adrian Willet added: "It was a privilege to work alongside Future High Street Living on this significant acquisition. We are excited to see the impact this project will have in Dudley once the scheme completes."
