Slovakia-headquartered start-up InoBat has launched an office at the University of Warwick Science Park's Warwick Innovation Centre.

The company, which designs, develops and manufactures advanced battery cells for electric vehicles, has a team of 60 staff, but has plans to scale-up quickly. Ten of its employees will be based at its new º£½ÇÊÓƵ site.

Paul Hancock, chief financial officer of InoBat, said: "We're extremely pleased to launch our first º£½ÇÊÓƵ office.

"The automotive industry has an incredibly strong presence in the Midlands, so it made sense for us to expand into the area.

"Warwick Innovation Centre provides us with a central location, with tier one original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) JLR, Rolls Royce, Arrival and Lotus as well as a number of other key industry businesses located nearby, and we will benefit from the region's strong supply chains. It will also help facilitate our º£½ÇÊÓƵ growth plans."

Paul added: "The talent in the region is excellent and we are looking to recruit and build a team of capable and environmentally conscious minds that will helps us achieve our ambitious goals for a net zero environment in the near future."
