Asian robotics manufacturer launches º£½ÇÊÓƵ HQ

Quicktron has chosen Innovation Birmingham to open its first base in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ

Quicktron has opened a new º£½ÇÊÓƵ HQ at Innovation Birmingham Campus

A manufacturer of robotics headquartered in China has opened a new º£½ÇÊÓƵ head office in Birmingham.

Quicktron has launched the 1,000 sq ft operation at the iCentrum building on Bruntwood SciTech's Innovation Birmingham campus in the city centre.

Founded in 2014, the company specialises in so-called intralogistics automation, designing and building robotic products which move items around warehouses and factories.

The multinational corporation is headquartered in Shanghai and has offices in the US, Germany, Spain, Japan, South Korea and Singapore.

Quicktron is the latest tech company to join the Innovation Birmingham campus, following a recent deal with sustainable gifting business XD Connects.

Liang Kien Yew, vice-president of iInternational business at Quicktron, said: "Our move to Innovation Birmingham is a vital step in the business' strategic ambitions to establish firm roots in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and enhance our on the ground support for our clients.

"Accessing top talent and lowering our carbon operating base are two of our biggest priorities as we look to grow our market share with our º£½ÇÊÓƵ audience so we're pleased to have a partner in Bruntwood SciTech that has helped us to facilitate both."
