Demand for office space at a business park close to Newcastle International Airport has led to a new planning application for extra units.

AirView Park developers have brought plans forward to extend the site by submitting an application for a further 20,000 sq ft of commercial units. Construction on buildings 2a and 2b at Phase Two is currently ongoing and due to be completed by the end of the year, serving up 20,000 sq ft of office accommodation and a ‘centre of excellence’ SME facility, for tenants including startups and fast-growing businesses operating across different sectors.

Three new buildings – 2c, 2d and 2e – are now proposed to meet rising demand for offices at the site at Woolsington, which will provide a further 11 workspace units for single or multiple occupancy, with parking areas, an independent cafe and open landscaped and social areas. The plans will complete Phase Two of the AirView Park development. The proposal will also support the increasing demand for premium commercial space in Newcastle, offering an alternative and sustainable out-of-town location for organisations considering the North East for a regional base.

A planning application has now been submitted to Newcastle City Council by Tynexe Commercial Ltd with developers Dysart Developments Ltd leading on the scheme on behalf of Newcastle International Airport and the council.
