Affordable housing developer MyPad has taken almost 5,000 sq ft of Grade A office space at The Quadrant in Beeston.

The deal, overseen by commercial property consultants OMEETO, will see MyPad take the whole of the second floor at the town centre business premises, in anticipation of future growth.

The Nottingham company works with registered housing providers and councils to provide low cost housing across the East Midlands.

Directors Tom Spink, John Turner and Dave Holland – who have backgrounds in residential and commercial development – launched the business in 2019. They have grown it to a 25-strong team which is set to increase to more than 35 in the next 12 months. The company forecasts that this year’s 50 new home completions will rise to 200 in 2023.

Co-owner Tom Spink said: “The demand for good quality affordable housing continues to grow and we provide our clients with land and works packages delivered by our in-house team as well as a wide range of local construction contractors.

“With our roots firmly embedded in the East Midlands, we were keen to move to premises that could cater for our rapid growth and The Quadrant was the perfect fit.

“Beeston town centre is easily accessible and the offices are within close reach to local amenities which are two important elements to meet our goals to grow the business by employing local people from a wide range of local communities.”

OMEETO, with joint agents HEB, is marketing another 14,000 sq ft of office space at The Quadrant.
