A derelict eyesore that was formerly a transport depot will soon be transformed into housing.
The site off Greenhill Road in Middleton, once owned and operated by JW Lees Brewery, was left vacant just over 15 years ago. Last year planning approval was granted to overhaul the site and build 24 'high-quality' homes.
This means the shabby buildings left there will be demolished and replaced.

First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) has now signed a £6.79m contract to build the 24 family homes. Locally based J Walker Homes will now construct 16 homes for social rent and another eight for rent to buy
The two and three-bedroom homes for the housing association will have green features such as solar panels and an energy performance certificate rating of at least B, according to FCHO. Work is due to start this month with an expected completion date scheduled for May 2027.
The Greenhill Road site will see two parking spaces allocated for the three-bed properties and one parking space for the two-bed properties.
FCHO executive director of homes, Steve Agger, said: "This is an exciting new project to add more high-quality and energy efficient family properties to our housing stock in Middleton.
"We are breathing new life into a derelict piece of brownfield land unused for 15 years and transforming it into these much-needed family homes that address the housing crisis in the area.
