A new apartment complex in Birmingham city centre has reached a construction milestone.
The £302 million Great Charles Street scheme is being delivered on a former council car park in Ludgate Hill on the edge of the city's Jewellery Quarter and will contain 722 apartments to rent across three blocks.
The tallest of which will be 39 storeys and sit at the corner of Great Charles Street and Livery Street.
In addition to the apartments, amenities will include a gym, co-working spaces, private dining rooms, cinema room, sky lounges and roof terraces alongside a regular programme of events for tenants. There will also be ground-floor retail units to let.
Harrogate-based developer and operator Moda is delivering the project, in Broad Street which opened in 2022, and New Garden Square in Hagley Road, some of which has already completed.

A topping out ceremony was held to mark the milestone after spades first went in the ground in Ludgate Hill just over two years ago.
Contractor Sisk is building the complex, with funding from Apache Capital, Harrison Street and NFU Mutual.
As part of the build programme, Sisk has been running a skills and training hub as it did during construction of The Mercian.
So far, the project has resulted in 35 apprentices and graduates being trained, nearly 300 more people trained on site and employment for 555 local people.

As part of the topping out ceremony, four of the apprentices gave talks about their experiences working on the project and then made the final concrete pour on top of the building.
Moda is also working with local partners including the combined authority and city council to enhance public spaces in the area, including a £120,000 transformation of the walkway which runs underneath Great Charles Street.
Moda's executive chairman Tony Brooks said: "We are extremely proud to have topped out our third rental neighbourhood in Birmingham, bringing us a step closer to delivering 722 fantastic new homes to the city, along with a range of long-term community benefits.
"The team at Sisk is doing a fantastic job bringing our vision to life at Great Charles Street and the success of the second iteration of our skills and training hub on site speaks for itself.
"With two developments already operational and a pipeline of thousands more homes in Birmingham, we remain committed to this fantastic city and the impressive transformation it is undergoing."
Sisk's managing director Alan Rodger added: "We are making excellent progress at Great Charles Street and I would like to congratulate our site team, design consultants and supply chain partners for achieving this topping out milestone.
"A further 240,000 hours have been completed by local people, from apprentices to graduates which reinforces both Moda and Sisk's commitment to Birmingham and our industry."
