Projects that seek to reshape the built environment are in the running for the Regeneration Project of the Year prize in the 2020-21 ProCon Leicestershire property and construction awards.

The finalists for the award are a mixed-use city centre project, the improvement of miles of waterway and the rebirth of a landmark Loughborough factory building.

The category, sponsored by Keepmoat Homes, is one of eight in this year’s ProCon Awards. Overall awards sponsors this year are Gateley Legal, Salus Approved Inspectors, Unique Window Systems and Vistry Partnerships. The Leicester Mercury is the Awards’ media partner.

The winners of all seven categories will be announced at a ceremony at Leicester’s King Power Stadium on November 11.

Iain McCann, commercial director of the award’s sponsor Keepmoat Homes, said: “I had the pleasure of representing Keepmoat Homes on the Regeneration Project of the Year category judging panel.

“The standard of entries was extremely high, incorporating a wide variety of projects which added both economic and social value to the city.

“Our own regeneration project – Waterside, Leicester – is also contributing to local growth and development. Later this year, we will be welcoming our first customers into their new homes.”
